Offered spring. Prereq., BCH 380 or BCH 480 . Restricted to students in the Biochemistry or Chemistry majors or minors. Other students will be allowed to enroll on a space-available basis with the consent of the instructor. Applications of biochemical principles to modern protein biochemistry. Basic micro- and molecular-biology techniques are used to produce mutant proteins; then students learn basic and advanced biophysical techniques to characterize the mutant proteins. Level: Undergraduate-Graduate
