Edconic: Hogarth to Himid: Histories of British Art

Offered every semester. Restricted to students in the Edconic program. Taught at Sotheby's Institute in London by Edconic instructors. This course provides a survey of British art spanning from the 17th century to the present day, introducing students to artworks, artists, and significant collections of British art. In the breadth of art and artists studied, there will be particular attention given to Black and multicultural British art and women artists who have been less visible in canonical surveys of British art.
