System Skills to Thrive in a Changing Health Care Environment - Capstone Project

Catalog description

This course will culminate in a capstone project describing the concept of system skills (ie., intrinsic interest in data, the ability to devise solutions to problems identified by the data; and understanding of how to implement practice innovations on a large scale) with relevance to physical therapy practice. The course has three components 1) the importance of measurement and the resultant systems data, 2) the concept of ‘positive deviants’ and provides case examples of innovators who are using systems data to solve clinical challenges, and 3) performance of a capstone project by the student related to their clinical issue.
