The relationship between microeconomic analysis and policy evaluation. The course covers applied welfare economics and methods of causal inference for evaluating public policies. By the end of the course, students will have an understanding of the types of research designs that can lead to convincing analysis. Applications include public health, crime, environmental economics, and labor market issues
