Organic Chemistry II

Catalog description

Topics include the characterization of organic compounds by Mass Spectrometry as well as IR and NMR spectroscopy. Reactions, including mechanisms, of alcohols, ethers, amines, arenes, aldehydes, ketones, enolates, carboxylic acids and carboxylic acid derivatives are covered in depth. Concurrent enrollment in CHMY 324 is required to enroll in CHMY 323 . You must be enrolled in both courses in the same semester
