Catalog description

An advanced course in metalsmithing that rotates through three different topics every three semesters: Raising and Forming; Casting; Surface. There is an emphasis on jewelry design, however, students are free to produce other functional or non-functional objects on a small scale. Assignments focus on a technique and a concept, and are evaluated on craftsmanship and aesthetics Repeatable up to 15 credits.
