Catalog description

This graduate level course will cover the characteristics, identification, and various intervention and management techniques for individuals with ADHD, ASD, and other neurodivergence within a neurodiversity-affirming framework. This course will explore some cognitive processes such as attention and other executive functions that are often affected in neurodiverse individuals, and will describe evaluation and interventions meant to improve individuals' overall participation in their lives. This course will lay the foundation for behavior modification activities that will benefit all future clients. The entire spectrum from minimally communicative to mild social communication impairments will be covered.
