Catalog description

This course explores the interdisciplinary relationships among fitness, business management, public health, and law in the operation of fitness facilities. Students will analyze ethical, social, and legal issues that influence professional practice in the fitness industry, including facility safety, leadership, budgeting, and emergency preparedness. Through collaborative projects, written analysis, and oral presentations, students will integrate concepts from multiple disciplines to evaluate and solve complex professional and ethical problems in the management of fitness facilities.
