Career Readiness and NBCOT Preparation Seminar

Catalog description

Topics covered in the seminar will include, but not be limited to, NCBOT exam preparation and study plan development, the expectations and process of obtaining employment as an occupational therapy practitioner, further developing one's professional identity, navigating the resume preparation and job interview process, and managing conflict and/or ethical dilemmas. Students will call on their knowledge and experiences gained during their classroom and fieldwork experiences in order to participate actively in classroom discussions and engage with various class formats. Students will be presented with, and discuss various perspectives surrounding, the entry level practice and certification exam preparation and use this information along with other resources to develop a personal action plan for achieving success in their future occupational therapy career.
