Catalog description

This course provides an introduction to the principles of pharmacology, including pharmacokinetics, pharmacodynamics, medication interactions, potential adverse reactions and dosage and solution calculation and administration. Emphasis is placed on drug classifications and nursing care related to the safe administration of medication to patients. A minimum grade of C+ is required in this course. Prerequisites: NU-205 and NU-215 both passed with a grade of C+ or higher.
