Catalog description

This course examines diverse cultural beliefs and practices related to health and illness, with emphasis on cultural sensitivity, equity, and systemic analysis. Students explore how racism, power, privilege, and other intersecting forms of oppression shape health experiences, health behaviors, and healthcare delivery across cultures. Through critical reflection and applied projects, students develop strategies for culturally responsive and anti-discriminatory practice in health-related fields.
