Taught in Italian: This course examines various aspects of contemporary Italian language and culture through the discussion of contemporary Italian films and literary texts. This course advances students' knowledge of contemporary Italian society, culture, and language as well as their ability to comprehend rapid spoken Italian. Students will demonstrate an understanding of the relationship between the practices and the perspectives of Italian culture and language through written and oral analysis to communicate multifaceted social and cultural ideas in standard oral and written Italian thereby advancing their cultural and linguistic communicative skills and proficiencies.
