Catalog description

This course examines the social constructions of gender and race as represented across various forms of media. Learning how to recognize, evaluate, and critique representations of gender and race using an intersectional lens, students will analyze the cultural values and beliefs that inform these depictions and identify personal, social, political, and economic consequences.
