Intermediate Spanish for the Healthcare Professions

Catalog description

While reviewing, practicing and building upon previously learned vocabulary and basic grammatical concepts in Spanish, this course aims at strengthening the students' knowledge of the language to further develop communicative competency in the healthcare field at the intermediate level. Students will hone their conversational skills through role-playing exercises and real-life scenarios. Additionally, they will have the opportunity to read and listen to a variety of texts related to healthcare. Cultural topics related to health issues in the Hispanic community will be discussed in the courses as well.
