Catalog description

Review of the basic principles of smart growth and how they are or are not being implemented on Long Island and around the nation. Learning covers the process by which planning decisions are made, how they affect communities and what the common obstacles are to sustainable growth. Included are social justice issues relating to the lack of affordable housing, the brain drain, classism and suburban sprawl.
