Catalog description

This course is an introduction to the essential teachings and practices of Buddhism. Included is a survey of the historical development and spread of Buddhism throughout the centuries and a study of its foundational teachings with emphasis on the four noble truths and the eight-fold path. An application of the Buddhist way of life is also explored.
