Catalog description

This on-line course is designed to prepare music therapy students for the expanding demand of tele-music therapy. Course will include an overview of the equipment options such as hardware, software and other technical modifications including audio interfaces, sound routing and utilizing digital audio workstations for effective telehealth clinical practice. Students will learn how to apply the therapeutic process within the constructs of telehealth including ethical considerations. The course will explore adaptations of the four methods of music therapy to provide diverse clinical interventions through online platforms (Zoom, Skype). Students will develop and apply individual and group music therapy interventions for a variety of clinical populations through online class experientials.
