Advanced Class Guitar

Catalog description

This course is for students who have completed MUS 1060 Fundamentals of Guitar or have a background in playing guitar. It will cover intermediate-level repertoire, barre chords, fingerpicking patterns and transpositions. Learning improvisational techniques and advanced methods of jazz and other popular music styles will be emphasized. For Music Majors/Music Minors or Theatre Majors only. Must have prior experience with the guitar. Non-Music Majors/Minors with permission from Chair. (Can be repeated for up to 3 credits.)
