The study of the rise and progress of Western Civilization from the achievements of Greece and Rome through the Middle Ages, Renaissance, and Reformation. The geographic settings, as well as the significant trends in the political, social, economic, intellectual, and cultural development of Europe will be analyzed. Required of History majors.
