Catalog description

Literature and Health explores the relationship between health-related issues and literature across both canonical and contemporary approaches. We will explore how literature can reflect and situate illness, disability, and the mind-body connection through historical and medical narratives. We will discuss similarities and differences between the close reading of a text and diagnostic practice.
