Federal Reserve Challenge

Catalog description

This course prepares students to compete in the Federal Reserve Challenge at the Federal Reserve Bank of New York. Students will analyze recent economic developments, formulate a forecast for the US economy, and propose a monetary policy prescription. In the process, students will learn how market participants and Federal officials view the economy. Students will have the opportunity to make an informed presentation to members of the Markets Group at the Federal Reserve Bank, and field questions on their views.
