Catalog description

The aim of this course is to provide students with an introduction to the major teachings, primary sources and practices of the most important traditions within Buddhism as a lived philosophy of life. The aim of this course is not to convert you to Buddhism, but simply to help you gain an appreciation for the relevance of Buddhist thought and practices for our lives in the 21st century. Core courses are not open to Freshmen or Sophomores, except for associate degree candidates.
