Restoration of the Long Island Coast

Catalog description

This course is intended for students who wish to experience science at work in Long Island communities impacted significantly by Hurricane Sandy through service learning. Scientific and ethical insight and responsibilities will be introduced in relation to environmental disturbances to the ecosystem caused by a natural disaster. Students need to provide their own transportation to the sites. Dates of required activities may change due to weather.
