Beginning Arabic I

Catalog description

This introductory course focuses on the development of basic communicative competency in the Modern Standard Arabic. Students practice speaking, listening, reading and writing skills in Arabic, as well as gain knowledge and understanding of the Arabic speaking world. Particular emphasis is placed on the systematic mastery of vocabulary and conversational skills. ARA 1010 is intended for students with no previous experience with the language. NOTE: Open to first and second year students only, or to students enrolled at Molloy prior to Fall 2019.
