Catalog description
This course addresses the principles and techniques of therapeutic communication as it applies to working with clients who present with symptoms of mental health disorders in acute care and community settings. Contemporary issues in the field of mental health nursing are explored within a psychosocial, cultural, spiritual, economic, legal, and ethical environment. There is a clinical component to this course. Prerequisite: Admission to the AAS Nursing program.
