This five-day field course (Sept. 24 - 28) will visit the stunning volcanic regions of northern California: Mt. Shasta, Lassen Volcanic National Park, and Lava Beds National Monument. Exploring stratovolcanoes, lava domes, cinder cones, and lava tubes in this unique landscape will allow an understanding of the causes of volcanic eruptions and their potential for future activity.
