Catalog description

This course is the first of a two-semester, in-depth study of music history. Emphasis is placed on the history and literature of music from Antiquity through the Baroque Period. Upon completion, students should be able to trace important musical developments and demonstrate an understanding of the composers' styles. This course has been approved for transfer under the CAA as a premajor and/or elective course requirement. This course has been approved for transfer under the ICAA as a premajor and/or elective course requirement.
