Offered: F, Sp. This course will enhance current and future teachers' understanding of the issues and consequences related to designing effective educational services for English Language learners. Students will explore the legal requirements, policy issues, curriculum development, program management, and different program models, including, but not limited to: English immersion, sheltered English, content-based transitional bilingual, and dual language. Prerequisites: A grade of C or higher in EDU 202, EDU 203, and EDU 308. Section information text: First 7-week session Though all of coursework is 100% online, students are required to participate in live (via the internet) video conferencing meetings on the following Mondays from 6:30-7:30 PM: 8/31/26, 9/14/26, 9/28/26, 10/12/26. All students should have reliable access to a web camera and the internet. This course requires out side fieldwork. This course is cross-listed with TSL 559. This course may be waitlisted through the online registration system.
