Catalog description
Offered: Sp. Conducting is the act of communicating musical ideas to an ensemble through the study of conducting gestures that facilitate entrances and releases, compound and changing meter and many other interpretative indications. A thorough knowledge of the techniques of score study, effective rehearsal methods and procedures will be included, as well as laboratory conducting experiences. Prerequisite: MUS 368.
