Catalog description
Offered: DD. A continuation of Jazz Improvisation 1. This course will cover musical form, rhythm changes, more advanced harmonic structures (chord/scale substitutions), further scalar study and pattern development. Students will also work on transcriptions of solos and tune memorization. Meets two hours per week. Prerequisite: MUS 290 or departmental approval.
