Catalog description

Offered: F, Sp. Examines: the American legal system; the nature and functions of civil law; the function and structure of the state and federal court system and administrative agencies. The course also presents an overview of the trial of a civil lawsuit and a survey of the major areas of civil law. Section information text: This course meets face-to-face to provide topic discussion twice a week. Course instructors lead these weekly topic discussions. Frequent and reliable computer and Internet access are necessary to be successful in this course. Discussion course instructor: Crystal Dowdell.
