Offered: F, Sp. This course centers on educational standards, lesson planning, unit construction, curriculum mapping, and curriculum and learning theories. This course also focuses on the development of authentic assessments, including the value of data derived from structured observations; appropriate collection, analysis, and interpretation of student data; and data-based decision-making processes for the purpose of instructional improvement and increased learner achievement. Must be taken concurrently with EDU 562. Section information text: First 7-week session Coursework is 100% online with live video conferencing on Wednesdays; 9/2/26, 9/16/26, 9/30/26, and 10/7/26 from 5-7pm Students must have reliable access to a web camera/internet for video conferencing and recording. This class must be taken concurrently with EDU 562. This course may be waitlisted through the online registration system.
