Catalog description

Offered: F. Off campus experience teaching students with cross-categorical disabilities in cooperating schools as a teacher associate. This course taken at the elementary level will require EDU 427 at the secondary level. This course taken at the secondary level will required EDU 427 to be taken at the elementary level. To be taken concurrently with EDU 411. Prerequisites: EDU 326, EDU 342, EDU 348, EDU 351, EDU 352, EDU 355 and Admission to the Education Department. Section information text: To be taken concurrently with EDU 411. All teacher candidates must attend a mandatory meeting during the prior semester to apply for this experience. Students will need to create a DESE account and complete fingerprinting & sub certification prior to enrollment. Off-campus experience; Students must provide their own transportation and allow travel time to and from the school site. Students will need to complete an availability form PRIOR to the first week of class to receive practicum placement.
