Catalog description

Offered: F, Sp. Historical and contemporary analyses of educational policies that incorporate ethnic, religious, and linguistic minorities through selected presentations, text readings and field experiences. The teacher candidate will gain awareness of diversity and develop a theoretical understanding of diversity through investigations of diversity within the local community and the creation of an action plan to address diversity issues within his/her classroom. Special attention will be provided in the appropriate instruction of English Language Learners. Prerequisite: EDU 202. Microcredential students are exempt from the prerequisite(s).
