Catalog description

Offered: F. This course discusses the morphological and anatomical features of plants within the context of their function, development, evolution, and diversity. Emphasis is also placed on surveying mechanisms affecting morphological and anatomical diversification. Laboratory and field investigations focus on modern techniques used in comparative plant morphology-, anatomy- and development investigations. Three hours lecture, three hours lab. Prerequisite: A grade of C or higher in BIO 105.
