Catalog description

Credit Hours: 2 This course covers the installation, use, maintenance, and troubleshooting of mechanical drive components and systems. Students will gain an understanding of belt drives, chain drives, gear drives, coupling and shaft alignment, bearings and linear bearings, gaskets, seals, ball screws, clutches and brakes, laser alignment, lubrication, and vibration analysis. Upon successful completion of this course, students will receive the following certification through the National Coalition of Certification Centers (NC3) - Festo Industry 4.0 Certification Program: Fundamentals of Mechanical Systems. Lecture Hours: 2 Lab Hours: 0 Semesters Offered: Fall
