Credit Hours: 3 This course focuses on a broad overview of autism with emphasis on characteristics, definition, and educational aspects, and contemporary issues in their field of special education. It is designed to provide students with a firm grounding in the foundations of teaching persons with autism and expose them to recent developments in the field of education. Course content also includes methods to enhance classroom function and skill acquisition. Lecture Hours: 3 Lab Hours: 0 Semesters Offered: Fall, Spring
