Catalog description

Prerequisites: A minimum campus GPA of 2.0. This course provides an overview of the transportation sector, including history, providers, users, government regulation, and the central role of transportation in supply chain management. The course covers the importance of domestic and global transportation, the operational aspects of the various transportation modes (rail, water, motor, air, and pipeline), the role of transportation intermediaries, the demand and supply of transportation, and the managerial aspects of transport in both the commercial and urban environment.
