Catalog description

Prerequisites: MATH 1030 or MATH 1045 or Advanced Credit Program approval. The course will cover basic concepts and methods in probability and statistics. Topics may include descriptive statistics, probabilities of events, random variables and their distributions, sampling distributions, estimation of population parameters, confidence intervals and hypothesis testing for population means and population proportions, chi-square tests. A student may not receive credit for more than one of MATH 1310, MATH 1320 and MATH 1105 .
