PreCalculus (MOTR MATH 150)

Catalog description

Prerequisites: A satisfactory score on the UMSL Math Placement Examination, obtained at most one year prior to enrollment in this course, or Advanced Credit Program approval. This course is intended for students planning to take MATH 1800 . It covers a range of topics including polynomials, logarithms, and complex numbers; functions and their graphs; systems of equations and inequalities; trigonometry; and more. Students may receive credit for MATH 1030 or MATH 1045 , but not both. This course fulfills the University's general education mathematics proficiency requirement.
