Topics in East Asian History and Culture

Catalog description

This course introduces students to historical and cultural issues in different areas of East Asia, especially Japan, Korea, and China. Topics may include a survey of history, as well as more specialized areas of politics, culture, literature, art, gender or more contemporary issues. The regional emphasis is determined by the instructor. It may be taken more than once, provided the course topic is different. This course counts toward the Global Perspectives graduation requirement.
