Catalog description

Prerequisite(s): Admission to the Bachelor of Educational Studies (BES) program or consent of instructor. This course provides supervised field experience in an approved community-based setting aligned with a BES emphasis area. Students engage in experiential learning through site-based planning, implementation, reflection, and evaluation activities that connect academic inquiry to real-world practice. Clinical experience is complemented by course assignments designed to deepen understanding of experiential education and its role in community engagement. Students must complete 60 contact hours of clinical experience to earn 3 credit hours. The course must be taken once, but may be repeated as an elective twice for up to 9 total credit hours, allowing students to explore multiple emphasis areas or deepen their engagement within a single site.
