Catalog description

This course is a weekly journal club discussing current literature related to the impacts of fire and drought on forest structure and function. The emphasis is on the interaction between trees and microbes. Also discussed are future experiments and data collection that integrate molecular, cellular, organismal, and ecological methods and approaches.NOTES: While not required for enrollment, participation in ongoing EMBER (Embedding Molecular Biology in Ecosystem Research) Biology Integration Institute research is strongly encouraged.
