Introductory Biology: From Molecules to Organisms

Catalog description

Prerequisites: A minimum of high school chemistry and MATH 1030 ; ENGL 1100 or equivalent (may be taken concurrently). This course introduces some of the foundational principles of biology and scientific methodology applied to the molecular/cellular through organ system levels of organization. Topics may include cell structure, metabolism, reproduction, heredity and major physiological processes regulated by organ systems. Three hours of lecture per week.
