Catalog description

Prerequisites: ACCTNG 3402 . This course examines accounting theory and practice related to accounting for mergers and acquisitions, preparation of financial statements for a consolidated group, foreign exchange transactions, foreign currency financial statements, conversion from IFRS-based financial statements to U.S. GAAP-based financial statements, segment reporting, interim (quarterly) reporting, and Securities and Exchange Commission reporting. The course includes an emphasis on unstructured problem-solving skills, communication skills, and interpersonal skills.
