Quantum information principles, quantum entanglement, qubits, quantum gates, quantum computer architecture and physical platforms, noise and decoherence, and quantum computing applications. May be taught concurrently with PHY 620. Cannot receive credit for both PHY 520 and PHY 620. Prerequisite: PHY 375 or CHM 507 .
