Catalog description

An introduction to the major developments in physics during the twentieth century. Topics include the special theory of relativity, the experimental basis for quantum mechanics, wave-particle duality, introductory quantum mechanics of one-dimensional systems, nuclear physics, and elementary particle physics. Prerequisite: PHY 204 ; and MTH 302 or concurrent enrollment.
