Catalog description

Introduction to the teaching of music students with disabilities in a school setting. The course will provide an overview of characteristics and identification criteria for both individuals with disabilities and also the gifted. Legislation and process pertaining to special education will be addressed along with a focus on teaching individuals with diversity in the elementary, middle, and secondary educational setting. Prerequisite: music major and admitted to Teacher Education.
