Catalog description

A written paper on a mathematical topic will be required. The student will be exposed to elementary research topics and to professional opportunities including graduate programs, employment by business, industry and government, and teaching options. Each student will be required to take the mathematics major assessment exam. Public Affairs Capstone Experience course. Prerequisite: 90 hours. Recommended Prerequisite: completion of or concurrent enrollment in all mathematics courses required for the mathematics major.
