Catalog description

Develops foundation for reflective decision-making when teaching algebra to emphasize problem solving, communication, reasoning and proof, connections, and representations. The incorporation of appropriate classroom technology will be stressed. Credited only on the BSEd (Middle School/Secondary). A grade of “C” or better is required in this course in order to take MTH 493 . Cannot be taken Pass/Not Pass. Cannot count toward the major GPA. Prerequisite: SEC 302 and 15 hours of college mathematics, and admission to Teacher Education.
